Syria Gate
Ain Dara is a settlement best known for its destroyed Iron Age Syro-Hittite temple. The temple is noted for its similarities to Solomon's Temple, also known as the "First Temple in Jerusalem", as described in the Hebrew Bible.
History
تحيط بها سهول خصبة من ثلاث جهات، ويحدها نهر عفرين من الغرب على بعد بضع مئات من الأمتار منها. كما يخترق الموقع جدول ماء نبع عين دارة، الذي يأخذ مجراه من بحيرتها الصغيرة، ليصب في نهر عفرين غربي التل.
